About Tim
Timothy Shortell is associate professor of sociology and director of the MA program in sociology at Brooklyn College, of the City University of New York. He has published work on social semiotics of public space and the public sphere. He is currently working on a visual study of immigrant neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Paris.
